Many have heard about CodeIgnitor, a known PHP framework, but many may have not heard of Kohana.
Ko-What ?!?
Kohana is a MVC framework that is nearly identical to and based from CodeIgnitor. There is a back story between Kohana and CodeIgnitor but to sum it up, Kohana is an off-shoot of CodeIgnitor with the intent of a more open community development.
One of the difference between the two is that CodeIgnitor supports PHP 4 & 5 while Kohana is strict PHP 5 with release 2.2 to support the GoPHP5 initiative (PHP 5.2 support).
My brief use of Kohana finds it easy to use and works quite nicely. Currently using for a small project.
Do you use a framework that you use? Share your thoughts on it or just name drop.
